Walk for Wellness
Maintaining and improving the quality of life in the Lehigh Valley is a priority of Wildlands Conservancy. In some way, each of our numerous programs and projects impacts on the health and well-being of our citizens and visitors, and positively affects the enjoyment of living here. The extensive network of parks, trails and other outdoor recreational amenities in the Lehigh Valley is an asset to all who live or visit here, an asset that the Conservancy believes can, and should, be more fully utilized.
Why are more people not using these amenities? Surprisingly, many simply don't know they exist. Or, if they do know about them, they may be unsure how to access them. Most don't know what great experiences await them when they arrive.
Wildlands Conservancy's Walk for Wellness Program was created to encourage and facilitate walking for its beneficial, restorative effects. Walking has been shown to be the easiest and healthiest physical activity in which most people can engage. It benefits our mind and our body — wellness for the heart and the soul! Coupled with a profusion of beautiful, safe places to walk, the physical barriers to health and well being are being stripped away.
Trails and parks in the greater Lehigh Valley are bursting with color and activity. Now is the time for you to discover 55 of the top walking and hiking trails in the area. See beautiful vistas, discover interesting and historic sites, and relax along babbling brooks, while you and your family actively enjoy nature at her very best.
