River Conditions to Next Access Point: 

Class III Rapids There are a few riffles in this section but no obstructions before the next access point.

Access Point Orientation and Description:
Access is on RIVER RIGHT beneath the Treichlers Bridge (Route 145).  The area is a 75-foot-wide dirt-and-gravel beach easily accessible by vehicle.

Locating the Access Point from the River:
The (new and large) Treichlers Bridge (Route 145) and the landing beneath it can be easily seen. 

Directions to Access Parking/Unloading Area by Land:
From Route 22, turn onto Route 145 North and go 8.0 miles to Cove Road.   Turn right onto Cove Road and go 0.6 mile to the access area.

Access Point Location:
The access point is at the end of Cove Road directly beneath the Treichlers Bridge (Route 145).

User Facilities:

  • No restroom facilities
  • Parking space for many vehicles
  • Road access directly to river
  • Fishing in season

Ownership and Maintenance:

  • County of Lehigh

Present Use and Conditions:

The area beneath and surrounding the bridge was cleared during its construction.  The access is a gradually sloped, 75-foot wide beach.  Brush and trees have been cleared within 200 feet of the bridge supports, but not all grading is complete.  It is easily accessible, has adequate room for vehicle maneuvering, and is partially covered with gravel.
