Directions to Bethlehem (Sand Island)

From New York and New Jersey:  Lincoln Tunnel or George Washington Bridge to NJ Turnpike South to I-78 West to Pennsylvania.  After reaching Pennsylvania on I-78 take the Hellertown/Bethlehem Exit (#67).  At the end of the exit ramp, turn right and go north on Route 412 toward Bethlehem for 3.0 miles into Bethlehem to the traffic light at New Street.  Turn right onto New Street and go over the Fahey Bridge (and the Lehigh River).   Turn left at the FIRST traffic light after crossing the bridge onto Lehigh Street.   Go 0.2 mile on Lehigh Street to Main Street.  Turn left onto Main Street and cross the bridge over the canal to the stop sign.  You are now on Sand Island. 

From the Lehigh Valley:  From RT 22, go south on Route 378.  Take the Center City Exit.  Turn left at the stop sign onto 3rd Ave.  Turn left at traffic light onto Broad Street.  Turn right at next traffic light onto Main Street.  Heading south on Main St., go through 2 traffice lights and turn downhill.  Take the first left after the bridge (over creek) to stop sign.  Proceed across to Sand Island

From Philadelphia: Take Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike (Rt. 476) to the Lehigh Valley exit.  Take RT 22 E exit.  From RT 22, go south on Route 378.  Take the Center City Exit.  Turn left at the stop sign onto 3rd Ave.  Turn left at traffic light onto Broad Street.  Turn right at next traffic light onto Main Street.  Heading south on Main St., go through 2 traffice lights and turn downhill.  Take the first left after the bridge (over creek) to stop sign.  Proceed across to Sand Island

Directions from Bethlehem to Easton:

Directions to Hugh Moore Park, Easton, PA (Final Stop on Sojourn)

From New Jersey:  Take Rt. 22 W to Easton exit (2nd in PA). Turn left onto 3rd Street and continue south. Turn right onto Larry Holmes Drive (at McDonald’s), go one block, and turn left onto Lehigh Drive. Go 2 miles, turn left at entrance bridge to Hugh Moore Park. Follow signs for canal boat.

From Philadelphia: Take Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike (Rt. 476) to the Lehigh Valley exit.  Take RT 22 E exit.  Take 25th Street exit. Turn right onto Lehigh Drive (before Glendon Bridge). Follow Lehigh Drive to stop sign, turn right over bridge.  Turn right at end of bridge and follow road to parking lot on left.

From Lehigh Valley: Take RT 22 E.  Take 25th Street exit. Turn right onto Lehigh Drive (before Glendon Bridge). Follow Lehigh Drive to stop sign, turn right over bridge.  Turn right at end of bridge and follow road to parking lot on left.
