Day without leprechauns, pots of gold, and lots of fun,
sooo.we're going bowling for leprechauns! We'll still learn

happens when you combine raw eggs, some recyclables, a rubber
catapult, and a group of 8-10-year-olds? You have fun, and
lots of it! Every participant gets a raw egg to catapult
over 50 yards in the air. The object is to provide a happy
ending when it lands. They'll create a flight capsule from
items in a bin of recyclable materials and hope for the
best. For an extra bit of fun, our participants will also
have an opportunity to get rid of left over Easter eggs
when we have target practice at our catapult range! Fee:

APRIL
25 - HEADS UP

goes up must come down. We've all heard that old adage,

events before creating a great head-gear game that demonstrates
the importance of controlling what we're putting up and
how we're getting it down. Fee: M-$10/NM-$12. Register by

MAY
23 - WHO REALLY KNOWS A BUTTERFLY?

lighthearted look at all things with scaled wings. Participants
will finish planting the children's butterfly garden and
go home with butterfly attracting plants. Fee: M-$10/NM-$12.

10 - FRIDAY NIGHT OUT - MARCH PENGUIN MADNESS
Friday,
7:00 p.m.
People
have been known to behave or imagine bizarre things when
trying to break the tension of inactivity due to winter
weather. Overcome by this cabin fever or March madness,
they might even imagine they see - penguins racing downhill
on ice-cube sleds! Why not spare your psyche, skip the preliminary
stress, and just join us for the penguin races. After cheering
on the chubby little racers, you could stay to view the
wonderful film, March of the Penguins . Any child
wearing his or her pajamas gets a special prize. Fee: M-$6/NM-$8/Each
registered adult may bring one child under 13 free; additional
children are $3 each. Register by 3/8/06.

Friday,

When
the sun goes down, things change. Familiar daytime colors
fade to gray, smells seem stronger, and every sound has
an edge as your senses sharpen. Night creatures emerge and
diurnal animals seek secure shelter. It's a different world
out there and we want to share it with you while hiking
to some of the lesser traveled areas of PWS. Afterwards,
we'll settle in for camping under the stars with an old-fashioned
campfire sing-a-long. We will provide tents, a snack made

us to observe the action along the stream's edge as night
falls over the Trexler-Lehigh County Game Preserve. Who
knows what we'll see, perhaps a raccoon, deer, or even a
coyote. Afterwards, we'll roast marshmallows and listen
for owls. Fee: M-$7/NM-$9/Each registered adult may bring
one child under 13 free; additional children are $3 each.
Register by 7/19/06.
JULY
28 - FRIDAY NIGHT OUT - COCKROACH RACES AND A MOVIE
Friday,
7:00 p.m.
With
their heavily armored exoskeletons and loud hisses, the
Madagascar hissing cockroaches in the colony at PWS amaze
visitors. Last summer, we accidentally discovered they are
also really fast, although erratic, racers; cockroach races
became a favorite summer camp activity. This summer, we
thought we'd share the fun and offer a family roach derby.
After the races, we'll watch the old films I Know An
Old Woman Who Swallowed A Fly and The World Is
Born. Fee: M-$6/NM-$8/Each registered adult may bring
one child under 13 free; additional children are $3 each.
